How to Win

In order to win, all predictions must be correct. The prize value is calculated by multiplying the odds for each selected event to determine the total odds for that ticket. The total odds are then multiplied by the amount being bet to determine the prize value. The potential prize value will be printed on your ticket.

Tie Rules

Hockey
A tie in regular season hockey is the outcome at the end of play, including overtime, but excluding shootouts.

A tie in Playoff hockey is the outcome at the end of regulation time, excluding overtime and shootouts.
Football
A tie is a game decided by 3 points or less.
Baseball
A tie is a game decided by one run.
Basketball
A tie is a game decided by 5 points or less.
Soccer
A tie is the outcome at the end of regulation time, including injury time, but excluding shootouts or overtime.
Golf
A tie is a match-up decided by one stroke or less.

Oddset 2-Outcome

Playing Oddset 2-Outcome is as easy as picking who wins the game.

  1. Pick up a current Sports Action Oddset Menu here or at your local Lottery Retailer.
  2. Choose the number of sporting events you want to bet on, from 2 to 6.
  3. Mark the outcomes of the games you want to bet on: V for Visitor Win or H for Home Win.

Oddset Combo

Oddset Combo is an easy way to play multiple Sports Action Oddset games on one selection slip.

For example, by selecting the “Go For 2” box on your selection slip and selecting three teams that would equal:

Team A x Team B x the amount bet

Team A x Team C x the amount bet

Team B x Team C x the amount bet

And by selecting the “Go For All” box that would equal:

Team A x Team B x Team C x the amount bet

That’s four selections slips in one!

Point Spread

A Point Spread is used in sports betting to even the odds between two unevenly matched teams. Each team is given a point total that can either be added or subtracted to a team's final score. For example, if the Point Spread for a hockey team is -1.5, that means that 1.5 goals are subtracted from their final score. In other words, the team must win by 2 goals or more in order for them to be considered the winner.

  1. Pick up a current Sports Action Point Spread Menu here or at your local Lottery Retailer.
  2. Choose the number of sporting events you want to bet on, from 2 to 12.
  3. Based on the BCLC Point Spread, select the games you'd like to bet on by marking your predictions as “V” for a win by the vising team or “H” for a win by the home team.
  4. Mark the amount you'd like to bet, from $2 to $20.

  1. Pick up a current Sports Action Over / Under Menu here or at your local Lottery Retailer.
  2. Choose the number of sporting events you want to bet on, from 2 to 10.

Props

Props is the game that lets you bet on almost every event or situation that can happen in a game.

  • Pick up a current Sports Action Props Menu here or at your local Lottery Retailer.
  • Choose the number of sporting events you want to bet on, from 2 to 6.
  • Predict either “O” OVER or “U” UNDER the Line; or, where applicable, “Y” YES or “N” NO to the Props question. Mark each prediction using the corresponding number from the Props Menu.
  • Mark the amount you'd like to bet, from $2 to $100.

The Line is BCLC's projected outcome for each of the Sports Action Props. For example, if the line for Powerplay goals is 0.5, and the team does not score any Power Play Goals in the game, the UNDER would be correct. The OVER would be correct if that team scores one or more Powerplay Goals.

Results

Props results include extra play (or overtime) EXCEPT for the following:

  • Regular season hockey (HKY): Results include overtime but exclude shootouts
  • Playoff hockey (PHK): Results exclude overtime and shootouts
  • Baseball: Results include extra innings played

Prizes

To win, all of your predictions must be correct. The prize value is determined by multiplying the odds for each of the Props selected to determine the total odds for that ticket. The total odds are then multiplied by the amount you bet to determine the prize value. The potential prize value will be printed on your ticket.
